Dear Old Friends

Dear Old Friends

“Remember that the most valuable antiques are dear old friends.” — H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Who is your oldest friend? When did you meet? When did you last speak — really speak, not text? When we are grieving these old friends are indeed valuable. Perhaps your friend reached out to you during this time. Perhaps he (or she) didn’t. That does not mean your friendship does not or did not matter.

Friendship is a door that opens both directions. Take a deep breath, pick up the phone, and call a dear old friend — whether a genuine valuable antique or not.

Now…where’s that old address book? You know the one, the one where you keep all your phone numbers. Put down your coffee cup and find it.
